“C’è stato un tempo” dice Olivia, “in cui avrei voluto i capelli lisci. In quel modo sarei stata normale.” Olivia sembra parlare dei propri capelli, ma in realtà offre una riflessione sulla diversità e su come il contesto in cui cresciamo possa influenzare il nostro sguardo su noi stessi e sugli altri.
"There was a time," says Olivia "when I would have wanted straight hair. That way I would have been normal." Even though it may seem she is talking about her hair, she actually offers food for thought about diversity and how the context in which one lives can influence their opinion on themselves and others.
