Marty McFly viene accidentalmente spedito dal 1985 agli anni Cinquanta a bordo di una DeLorean trasformata in macchina del tempo dall’eccentrico scienziato Doc Brown. Intrappolato nel passato, deve fare in modo che i suoi genitori adolescenti si innamorino, evitando di scomparire dalla storia. Tra paradossi temporali, svolte comiche e una corsa contro il tempo, Marty si allea con il giovane Doc per trovare l’energia necessaria a tornare al futuro.

Marty McFly is accidentally sent from 1985 to the 1950s in a DeLorean transformed into a time machine by the eccentric scientist Doc Brown. Trapped in the past, he must make sure his teenage parents fall in love, or risk disappearing from history. Between time paradoxes, comic twists and a race against the clock, Marty joins forces with the younger Doc to find the energy needed to return to the future.

Robert Zemeckis è un regista, sceneggiatore e produttore statunitense nato a Chicago nel 1952. Formatosi alla University of Southern California, ha iniziato la carriera sotto la guida di Steven Spielberg. Con la trilogia di Ritorno al futuro ha ridefinito la commedia fantascientifica, unendo narrazione classica, umorismo e immaginazione tecnologica. Ha poi diretto film di grande successo, tra cui Forrest Gump, che gli è valso l’Oscar alla miglior regia, e Cast Away.

Robert Zemeckis is an American director, screenwriter and producer born in Chicago in 1952. Trained at the University of Southern California, he began his career under the mentorship of Steven Spielberg. With the Back to the Future trilogy, he redefined sci-fi comedy, combining classical storytelling, humour and technological imagination. He later directed major films including Forrest Gump, which won him the Academy Award for Best Director, and Cast Away.
