When a fox tries, under false pretences, to get close to a cockerel, he doesn't fall for it. He knows he is the weaker one and instead of facing the fox alone, he asks his friend, the dog, for help. This Aesop's fable has a moral: if you think you are in danger, ask your friends for help.
